Jae noted that her curls were going to be a bastard to wrangle later with all of the dirt and water, but when Quinn started aligator rolling to get herself out of her death grip, she started laughing. She released her and the girl tumbled her way through the water, coming up beside Lia, "So maybe we should all get out and start training in our new pairs."
Colt hummed in happiness, "Of course." She kissed her jaw, slowly and gently even nibbling at her skin ultra lightly. She closed her eyes slightly, her hand, palm flat against the girl's thigh, moving forward to grip her hip.

“I’m supposed to do spirit training if you want to join?” Lia suggested spinning around to look for Eric who was supposed to help her today. Normally a golden slayer helped but Eric passed when Zach was awake- of which he wasn’t. Her eyes instead snapped to to Zara and Colt. “Eww, didn’t see that coming...” Lia wrinkled her nose, splashing water at the couple before heading for the edge.
Hayden got out, heading for the locker room oddly straight backed.
Zara grabbed at her hand, moving it to her lower back instead. She snaked a hand into Colts hand and gripped it lightly. The kisses like sparks of fire on her skin. Zara was practically melting in Colts grip. Zara hooked her legs around Colts waist, squishing her small frame against hers.

Quinn nodded, "Sure, just give me a second." She got out of the water, dancing after Hayden, "Hey, are you okay?"
Jaelynn looked over at Colt and Zara, noting that if this wasn't a fling, then her nights cuddled in Colts bed were definitely over. She sighed, looking after Quinn and Hayden. A tiny part of her wanted to check to make sure her team mate was okay, but a much larger portion told her to stay away from the danger.
Colt pressed Zara in closer to her, moving to kiss her cheek and slowly to the corner of her lips. She paused, breathing softly and quietly as her eyes settled on her lips, her own centimeters from Zara's.

Hayden tucked her arm to her chest quickly, fastening her steps. Her hair was still plastered to her scalp, much like her clothes to her body. “Yeah, fine.” She huffed, words clipped, not looking up from the ground was walking on.
Lia looked over to Jae, tilting her head at the field were Eric was waiting in. “Come on, let’s get warm before start partner work.” She suggested, trying out a smile on her lips- felt weird.
Zara murmured a yes before meshing her lips with Colts, mind reeling about how much bacteria was being transferred. She gripped Colts hair harder as her lips moved against hers. Fire. Warmth. Melting. Zara gasped.

Colt kissed her back as heat spread in her stomach, her eyes closed. She felt and heard Zara gasped and she smirked, taking the opportunity to press her tongue past her lips, expertly letting it brush Zara's for a moment to let the pleasure sink in before the phobia could.
Jae nodded, smiling back and getting out. She nudged Colt who pulled away slowly, and said, "Come on... We still have to train and get to bed before patrol." Colt nodded and looked back at Zara, tucking her hair behind her ear lightly and smiling, "Better get out then."
Quinn sighed and back off Hayden, deciding that the girl definitely wanted to be left alone.

“Actually... Quinn can you do me a favour?” Hayden asked, voice soft, almost unsure. She was gripping her arm tighter now and wincing, unable to hide was she was for much longer. If Quinn was looking closer she might of noticed the swollen wrist Hayden was clutching.
Lia chuckled as Zara scrambled out of the water and started running for the locker room. “So Colt? You and Zara huh? Fairy and the punk?” Lia was grinning, slowly making her way to the locker room, in step with Jae.

Colt chuckled and adjusted her clothes as she walked, "I take offence to being called punk, but yeah. She's a pretty damn cute fairy." Jae rolled her eyes, "She's a germaphobe so good luck." Colt frowned, looking at the girl in confusion. Usually Jae was nice and quiet. Jaelynn flinched, "I'm sorry." "It's all good."
Quinn looked at her hurt hand and the expression on her face, "What's wrong?"

“I didn’t mean actions so much as yah badass appearance that are associated with punk rock, but I won’t say that again.” Lia shrugged awkwardly, wishing Quinn or Hayden were there to act as a buffer. She looked over to Eric again, he was talking on his phone now, menatally sacrifising small animals to the Gods to speed up the eternity of awkward silence. “Jae... how are yah doing after-” Lia grunted, giving up, “whatever,” She grumbled, sick of being so social a nice to everyone. It wasn’t as though that wasn’t her, it was that she wasn’t used to acting like that 24/7.
“Broken or sprained?” Hayden’s face didn’t give any hints as to wether she cared, her almost bored look in place. She jerked her chin to the locker room, “can you light up for me?” The question served as a shock. Slayer fire sharing was forbidden in almost all communities unless it was between families or by accident. It had been deemed to dangerous on a slayers mental health and spiritual abilities to take on the temporary and long term effects. Temporary being the sharing of abilities while the long term were mental instabilities, like most golden slayers had, and problems with using their brith abilities. Hayden didn’t care. If she was addicted to anything it was the rush of power coming from sharing and the comfort of having every physical problem healed. Sure, she could do it on herself but that wasn’t as effective. “I don’t wanna sit out tonight...” she half lied, wincing as she moved her arm a bit.

Quinn looked at her in shock, "That's dangerous, Hayden!" Quinn may have loved games by she still played them by the rules. She shook her head, "I can't do that... What did you do anyway? Slayers heal fast, go to the infirmary..."
Jaelynn looked over at her and said softly, "I'm scared... Of Hayden... I don't want to be her partner in training..." Colt mumbled something about her comment being a joke regarding her style before sighing and watching Jaxon tug on his husbands shirt.

Her expression twitched with annoyance for a millisecond before she nodded, not pushing because she wasn’t a push bitch. “I don’t know, I will be fine," Hayden was still clutching her arm as her gut started to swirl with nausea. Her fingers felt at the pain again until they found the break. The throbbing was getting worse. Even if she was a slayer, broken bones still took weeks to mend and they had a tournament, she would have to ask Lia later. Honestly, she didn’t expect a no from Quinn. "It’s probably just a sprain anyway." She downplayed, backing up and heading into the locker room whilst her stomach dropped. Hayden had to fight it until she got herself safely locked in a stall, dry heaving until her afternoon snack resurfaced.
Zara had her music on, a playlist ranging from Electro swing to classical dance wafting throughout the room, helping her to focus on cleaning her waist length hair and body. It would take a while and she would probably have to do it tonight but it was worth it.
“Eh, she just has some extreme boundaries that yah don’t know, ask what’s okay when you’re sparing or whatever. Hayden hasn’t told me anything about her when I partner but every time we agree on what’s okay and what’s not okay before we start.” Lia tried to sound lighthearted, “like, for me it’s super not okay with verbal taunts in a spar but I am okay with fighting dirty." It sounded like a bad example because it was, Lia was mostly okay with everything but she didn’t want to share something that she shouldn’t.

The next day was training day for the tournament. It was an entire day dedicated to the tournament teams to allow them to create plans, form strategies, learn new moves- everything. Each team was allowed one trainer of their choice, other than the school principal. The trainer had to be a teacher at the school and also had to agree. They couldn't be related by blood- so Eric Harrison was out. That had been Colt's immediate draw to, but since he wasn't allowed, she walked in to the gym where the girls had decided to start practice on, saying, "Let's stick with Ms Jager. She knows us best." "She didn't seem to do much for Dalia when it actually happened." Said Quinn. Jaelynn arrived as Quinn spoke, her ribs bruised though none of them could see it, "It doesn't matter." She had caught the tail end of the conversation and said rather viciously, "We could have no damn trainer and we would still tear those cowards apart. I'm going to rip their spines out." Colt blinked in shock as Jae came to a stop beside her and started flexing her ankles and shoulder blades, "Okay, good plan, only thing is, cowards don't have spines." When Jae shot her a death glare, and Quinn rolled her eyes, Colt gave them both a grin.

Lia had bundled herself up in ankle length tights and a sweatshirt despite the heat. She sipped on her water as she wondered over with Hayden, of whom was roasting the most recent homophobic rant on instragram. “I was thinking we get Mr Hale as our tranier.” Lia mumbled to the small group, dark rings under her eyes from a sleepless night. Turns out putting her dad away for a six week program and then packing up her cat to stay at Eric’s was pretty triggering to her ‘gift’.
Hayden looked from Quinn to Jae, her arm perfectly fine now despite yesterday’s problem. Lia always agreed if she asked nice enough. Partnering with Jae last night was average, if that since they barely spoke the whole patrol. “Ms. Jäger would be suffice, she yells at us enough but she is no good for the emotional folks,” Hayden looked to Lia for proof, “Plus she’s got something against my hammer. I ain’t fussed though, as long as they aren’t a shithead.” “Sorry I’m late,” Zara panted- she wasn’t-, “had to check in with the nurse about my stitches.” She pulled up her shirt to show the group a nice slash she got at two am. “Hi Colt.” Zara beamed at the dark haired beauty, her wonderfully long blonde hair in a braid that tucked up into a bun, bright blue eyes sparklingly at the sight of Colt.

Colt opened her mouth to ask who the hell was Mr Halt, before Zara walked in. Her eyebrows shot up and she smiled in greeting, "Morning Princess." She held out a hand, pulling Zara in against her side lightly. She knew that she wouldn't want to touch her after they started sweating and since Colt still smelt of soap, it was open season.
Jae hadn't spoke to Hayden all of last night unless it was to scream the occasional, "DUCK!", and during training she had completely dodged every single throw and made an excuse to leave early without leaving a single hit. She shut her mouth as soon as Hayden got there and Quinn was left to be the one to say, "None of that matters right now, let's get started!"

Zara felt the tension rise in the group but was far to focused on Colts cuddles to give a damn. The warmth was sickening and even though she didn’t know if they were dating or if this was a temporary thing, she loved it. It made her stomach jittery and bounce at the thought of being in the same room as Colt, it made her waste time thing about Colt instead of her Maths assignment, hell, it made her wash her hands once because she didn’t want to waste time on things that weren’t Colt. “Wanna come to my dorm tonight?” Zara whispered in Colts ear, her own face aflame with embarrassment of her on words.
“Are we starting with the speed obstacle course tomorrow? And does anyone know when we are getting stats on the other crew because I seriously want to know whose ass I am losing my boot in.” Lia hummed, looking at Quinn as if she was only asking her. Hayden clearly didn’t know and probably didn’t care, “Colt, pack in your locker by the way, I promise it’s a better batch than the last one.” She called over her shoulder starting to walk to the training arena.
- You are setting this up so do tell what the hell they are doing today.

Colt looked down at Zara in interest, humming in thought. She could see the embarrassment written on her face and reached up to brush her fingers over her cheekbones, "I'll bring snacks, let's watch a movie or something." She knew what Zara had been implying but she actually wanted to take it slower, "Take it slow, Princess." She whispered near her ear. She pulled back slightly as she heard Hayden talking to her. Colt chuckled, "I almost greened out on the last batch it was so good, are you trying to get me to throw up my guts?"
"The tournament itself doesn't start for a good few weeks, so no, we aren't." Jaelynn muttered watching Hayden walk away. Quinn nodded, "Yeah, we have three or four weeks to train. These tournaments are big things." "Don't forget to keep up school though." Jaelynn added and Quinn nodded again, walking over to the whiteboard, "Hayden, come back here." She started drawing up a biweekly schedule, "We have to figure out training times and studying times. We all should do a study group. We should try to be with each other as much as possible. Both crews have to form teams of five with an extra in case one of them has to tap out. The boys have a big enough crew that is close enough to have up to five extras- we only have one." Quinn turned to them as she finished drawing a three by eight grid on the board, "I'll be the extra for our team."
