Naahta Lorone
Gender: Fluid, biologically female. Doesn't mind gendered pronouns when they're specifically that gender but prefers 'they' when they aren't.
Sexuality: Isnt sure, but would call themselves pansexual, they guess? Haven't really had that much experience, so couldn't say.
Age: 21
Species: Human
Morality: Lawful good
Position: Free spirit, occasional busker
Physical Description:
Naahta is about 5'1", with a sharp face and relatively dark skin. They have round, dark brown eyes and neat eyebrows, but their most distinctive feature is their white hair. Naahta has no qualms about admitting that it's dyed, although they're pretty vigilant to keep the roots from showing.
When Naahta is feeling feminine, she'll generally wear loose, flowy clothing in a variety of colours, often with patterns over the fabric. She won't always wear skirts but tends towards them- either skirts, tights or patterned gypsy pants. Her favourite outfit consists of an old, faded blue jacket belonging to her adoptive mother, a black t-shirt with a pattern of a bird, and a pair of tights. It's pretty easy to tell that she wears it a lot, given the wear of the fabric.
When Naahta is feeling masculine, he'll wear either jeans or slacks depending on his mood, and prefers to wear longer coats. Usually he'll wear more monochrome stuff, usually in whites or blues, and he tends to wear buttoned shirts more often than not. His favourite outfit consists a pair of gray trousers with large pockets- away with you, large hips!!-and a stiff-shouldered pale gray jacket, both of which help him feel more masculine and comfortable.
When Naahta isn't feeling particularly one way or the other, they'll wear whatever they feel like, often cargo pants and whatever jumper they grab first. If they're feeling particularly daring they'll wear a kilt- that's right, a kilt. They don't wear it often though because it feels too much like a skirt.
No matter their gender, though, Naahta always wears a set of prayer beads around their neck and an earring in their left ear. They also have a thing for those fancy wrist cuff things that loop around the thumb and up to the middle finger. Naahta still doesn't know what they're called and they don't care that their pair rarely ever matches what they're wearing. They'll wear those things anyway.
Personality: Naahta is usually quite calm, although they can be petulant and occasionally spiteful if someone rubs them up the wrong way. They often appear quite compassionate- not entirely by choice, sometimes, but by a sense of duty. Naahta is generally quite upstanding and can't abide people flaunting either rules, laws, or what they view as basic common sense- read, the sense of religious morals that Naahta somehow doesn't seem to understand that people don't follow and yet acknowledges that they do follow them both at the same time. It'd probably confuse Naahta if they weren't such a contradiction in so many ways anyway.
Strengths: Naahta is quite fit and fast on his feet, as well as being a rather patient person.
Weaknesses: Naahta can get hung up on apathy and confusion for days on end. They can also be rather childish and pushy at times.
History: Naahta doesn't really know much of what their life was before they were adopted by Kuronta and Reyaffe Lorone, and doesn't even bear a name from before that adoption. They don't even know the circumstances under which they were adopted- it's not that Kuronta and Reyaffe are keeping that from them, simply that Naahta doesn't feel the need to make ripples by enquiring further. While they do often wonder, it is never the kind of wonder that would be acted on.
Kuronta and Reyaffe are the posts that have kept Naahta going. Reyaffe, their adopted father, is an ex-military police officer and Naahta looks up to him immensely, and has considered military service many times, aspiring to be an army doctor. However, for now Naahta is drifting, still considering whether being an army doctor would contradict their faith. Both parents were surprisingly okay with Naahta's being genderfluid, although they'd occasionally misunderstand what that actually meant, and both put a touching amount of effort into trying to understand it- even with Kuronta's aversion to technology, they trawled endless websites to learn more about what made Naahta be Naahta. That is one of the reasons that Naahta is so dedicated to their adoptive parents.
Naahta has a slight inferiority complex as well, perhaps born out of their schooling days where praying with prayer beads during recess wasn't exactly a popular pastime to the less friendly children, but overall Naahta's childhood and teenage years left them relatively unruffled, if jaded. Now, they are taking a few years to acquaint themself with the world, learning its highs and lows before they take on the pressures of medical school.
